Dr. Benson Yip is a specialist in both General and Colorectal surgery. He holds a Bachelor of Human Kinetics from the University of Windsor. He completed his Medical Degree at the University of Western Ontario. His General Surgery training was completed at the University of Manitoba. He subsequently completed his Colon and Rectal Surgery training in Hartford Connecticut USA, with the University of Connecticut. This was followed by a research fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the Lahey Clinic Foundation in Burlington Massachusetts USA.

Dr. Yip has been on staff at St. Boniface Hospital over 20 years; he has held many leadership positions over this time period. Dr. Yip’s clinical interests include all diseases of the Colon, Rectum, and Anus, with an emphasis on outpatient proctology and colonoscopy. In addition, he has a special interest in surgical education and mentoring.
